SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Field Technician to support the layout, build, install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modification and analysis of developmental and production electronic and radar test equipment for multiple High Frequency (HF) radar systems.
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Operate electronics test equipment to collect data according to established procedures.
Perform electronic troubleshooting.
Set up hardware components according to procedure (antennas, cabling, test equipment, etc.
).
Understand basic computer networking, software operations and communications architectures.
Experience operating classified systems.
Experience/knowledge of engineering drawings.
· Sets up standard test apparatus or devises test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and live tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
Associate’s Engineering degree or equivalent preferred.
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
One (1) to Three (3)+ years of progressive experience performing work in support of production, integration, installation, repair, troubleshooting, or maintenance of electronic systems or equipment.
One (1)+ years of progressive experience as a technician performing work, which required advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems.
One (1)+ years of experience providing technical guidance to lower level technicians performing work in support of installation, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronic systems or equipment.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings (assembly drawings, schematic diagrams, interconnect diagrams).
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Preferred:
Successful completion of mathematic courses through Differential Equations.
Understanding fundamentals of radio frequency spectrum.
o Experience with programming in C++ and MATLAB
o Experience with Adobe
o US Military experience
o Work on/with classified USG systems
o Ability to lift 50 lbs.
