Overview:
Our Virginia Beach, VA office has an exciting opportunity for a Part Time (36 hours/week) Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our Roadway team.
Responsibilities:
We're seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our Roadway team to help us produce Transportation projects.
This is an excellent opportunity with an industry leader working on exciting projects in the Hampton Roads area.
The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and an interest in marketing/serving clients, as well as a desire to eventually lead their own practice and manage a team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degreefrom an accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering
PE certification
Six or more years of experience working on the design of roadway projects
Virginia Municipal and/or VDOT experience desirable
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners including clients, sub consultants, and utility companies
Experience preparing final design plans, specifications and construction cost estimates
Knowledge of MicroStation GEOPAK
Design experience on horizontal and vertical alignments, streetscape and roadway improvements, multimodal design and signage.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
