*Summary:*
The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for supporting overall facility processes and efficiency.
The candidate will use a comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of Industrial Engineering to complete data analysis and evaluation in support of complex assignments for production, quality and warehouse activities.
You will work cross functionally to support operations and drive initiatives and implement world-class lean concepts within Tegra’s organization.
*Job Duties:*
* Participate in problem solving activities and provide engineering support for process development/optimization, and initiatives to improve efficiency of operations.
* Generates and assesses metrics for dissemination of trends that affect service quality and customer reviews through the use of statistics and quality engineering tools.
* Perform data driven analysis to identify and drive out process waste to improve cost.
* Estimate labor and man-hours; process time allocation.
* Optimize use of floor space, materials, personnel and equipment.
* Utilize value stream mapping, process flow and other Lean Manufacturing tools.
* Develop, track and report metrics to identify and remove process flow bottlenecks.
* Support capital expenditure justification analysis and project budget tracking.
* Keep abreast of latest technologies in Industrial Engineering.
*Skills/Qualifications:*
* Strong data analytical skills, with experience leveraging multiple data sources to create clear and concise data insights.
* Train and coach plant staff in Lean tools and implementation.
* Ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex concepts to teammates ranging from entry level to VP & above.
* Knowledge of and demonstrated experience using the following software applications: Power BI, AutoCAD, MS Office.
* Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to be self-motivated and able to work within a fast-paced team environment.
*Education/Certification Requirements: *
* Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
* 2-5 years experience in Industrial Engineering.
* Training experience and/or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, Shingo, or Kaizen preferred.
