Responsibilities:
Act as a liaison between the organization and the community, establishing and nurturing positive relationships.
Attend community events, meetings, and gatherings to promote awareness and understanding of our initiatives.
Effectively communicate the organization's values, goals, and services to community members.
Engage in outreach activities, both in-person and through various communication channels, to connect with the community.
Build and maintain positive relationships with local community leaders, organizations, and residents.
Maintain accurate records of community interactions, feedback, and demographic information.
Provide regular reports on community engagement activities.
Participate in training sessions to enhance understanding of the organization's mission and community relations strategies.
Contribute insights and ideas during team meetings to continually improve community engagement efforts.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Some college coursework in communication, community relations, or related fields is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
Approachable and able to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Empathy and active listening skills.
