Account Manager - Facilities - VA Beach, VA
POSITION SUMMARY
The Account Manager will serve as a resource and strategic partner to clients to determine the best solution for their office, school, or building’s safety and cleaning needs.
Successful candidates will build strong relationships with building, facility, and maintenance managers.
POSITION EXPECTATIONS
Serve as a resource and strategic partner to clients to determine the best solution for their office, school, or facility safety and cleaning needs.
Use a consultative approach to identify product and equipment recommendations based on needs, scope, and budget.
Stay up to date on the current safety and hygiene standards within our markets served and manufacturer product updates.
Offer personalized service to clients, understand and promote the benefits, capabilities, and advantages of working with The Supply Room.
Actively participate in networking activities, including networking with local associations, industry events, trade shows, and other forms of business development activity.
Maintain and report on projects, leads, and other sales activity.
Achieve established sales and gross profit targets.
Set accurate expectations with clients and collaborate with Support and Operations teams to successfully fulfill a client's objectives and project goals.
Build trust and inspire loyalty with our customers.
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, procedures, and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Reliable transportation is required to travel to and from customer locations.
Education, Certifications and /or Licenses:
Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required.
Experience:
3 years of sales or relationship building experience with facility and maintenance managers is preferred, but not required.
B2B industry experience specific to the janitorial field is a plus, but not required.
Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to interact professionally with clients and fellow employees.
Must be a highly motivated to learn and grow, self-directed, and proactive.
