The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for establishing contact with prospective and existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads all while providing excellent customer service.
The Outside Sales Representative must be a self-starter who can work independently, be willing to travel, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Utilize telephone calls, emails, in-person visits, and presentations to establish relationships with prospective customers
Meet or exceed established sales goals for established territory and sales quota
Attend industry trade shows to accumulate new leads and make productive contact with existing clients
Monitor industry trends in order to identify emerging markets and develop plans to utilize those markets to expand revenue
Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with customers, and prospective customers, by providing support, technical product application and product information
Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts
Present yourself in a professional manner, language, tone, and demeanor
Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, interests, and problems
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
At least 1 year of outside sales experience
Must be willing to travel up to 50 percent of the time
Strong computer skills and understanding of spreadsheet software
Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
