Position Summary:
Responsible for creating and executing communications strategies geared towards elevating and protecting PRA Group’s global brand.
This role will use storytelling through various channels to strengthen PR and influencer outreach efforts, and assist with managing brand communications, media relations, and social media.
Professional Experience/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, English, or comparable field.
2-4 years’ experience in a public relations or brand marketing role
Considerable knowledge of English grammar and Associated Press style.
Working knowledge of news-gathering techniques and public relations principles
Demonstrated ability to write and copy edit well-crafted stories in appropriate journalistic style
Ability to write in different formats and for different audiences
Ability to extract, synthesize, and relay key information from multiple sources
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with variable deadlines
Demonstrated ability and knowledge of best practices in using the web and social media for public relations purposes
Experience working with creative teams and agencies
Strong communication skills
Comfortable working with and driving consensus across multiple stakeholders, including executives
Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft 365 Software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Proficient in professional use of social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo, Threads, LinkedIn etc.
Adept at working in a collaborative and high-performing team environment
Key Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Raise awareness of PRA Group’s strategic initiatives through communications with traditional and social media, employees, customers, shareholders and the general public
Assist in the day-to-day management of the public relations function for PRA Group including fielding and fulfilling press inbound inquiries, creating and executing proactive pitches to media, drafting and coordinating press releases and outreach
Conceptualize, write and deliver long-form content such as press releases, blog posts and contributed content
Prepare remarks, speeches and presentations for PRA Group and affiliate executive team
Assist with project management of PRA Group communication projects including annual report, collateral, media and speaking engagements, etc.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with PRA Group’s business-lines and support functions in Europe, Australia and the Americas
Develop abstracts and submissions for thought leadership opportunities for executives
Identify corporate distinctions and awards opportunities and submit applications to advance PRA Group’s corporate positioning, brand, and a great place to work
Build awareness of PRA Group’s corporate social responsibility initiative-including collaborations with nonprofit organizations that make an impact in communities worldwide-and DEI efforts
Maintain coverage tracker and deliver press coverage recaps for weekly, monthly, yearly and ad hoc reporting
Assists with external communications, including storytelling on social media and PR and marketing campaigns
Handle social listening within our social channels and help identify common trends/feedback/insights
Ensure consistency in brand look/feel/messaging and enforce brand standards internally and externally
Attend and provide coverage for corporate-sponsored events
