Business Development - Partners
Yellow Dog Software is looking for an outgoing “people person” to help drive business growth through fostering strong relationships with partner sales reps.
This role will have a heavy focus on phone calls and industry networking.
The work includes educating partner reps on the Yellow Dog platform, how it solves problems, and how it can supplement and improve their respective offerings to help them close more deals.
This is an in-office position based in Norfolk and reporting to the Partner/Marketing Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
• Hit weekly targets for 15-minute partner check-in phone calls
• Assisting with creation and delivery of a quarterly partner newsletter, along with regular partner communications about new mutual clients
• Becoming an expert on our products to provide intelligent needs assessments and handle in bound calls and referrals
• Manage a diverse portfolio of partners - prioritize outreach to promote and accelerate referrals and shorten sales cycles
• Distribute inbound, qualified partner referrals to appropriate sales team members
• Stay up to date on trends and changes within our target markets
• Assist with the scheduling and execution of webinars for partner teams
• Track all activities and conversations in our CRM system (Zoho)
• Promote Yellow Dog Software and the added value of partnering with Yellow Dog
Requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills – outgoing personality, enjoy people interactions
• Be smart, a fast learner, and a problem solver – driven to succeed
• Be a quick thinker with a positive, can-do attitude – prioritize team performance
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, collaborative team environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Windows, Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.
Ideal candidates will have:
• Hospitality or service experience - food & beverage and/or retail
• Technical ability – be comfortable with a wide range of Microsoft products, Zoho Suite, communication tools, etc.
• Interest or experience in marketing or business development
• Some familiarity with inventory… physicals, ordering, receiving, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to enjoy the chase for partner relationship and deals

Salary: $42,000 plus bonus plan TBD
