Position: Parts Rep – Shop Parts
Description: The role as the Truck Parts Rep is to act as the liaison between our service department and the service counter.
The Truck Parts Rep’s responsibilities include creating parts quotes for repairs from the shop, ordering parts thru an array of channels, organizing cores and warranty parts, and pulling stock for repairs all while working closely with the Shop Foreman and Management team.
The Truck Parts Rep ensures excellent communication from the repair technicians to the service counter.
Qualifications that a candidate MUST possess:
Prior experience in parts or diesel shop & strong understanding of automotive diesel terminology and of the automotive diesel industry
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work within a team setting
Honest, reliable, and trustworthy
Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
, kneel, bend, and reach without difficulty
Must have material-handling equipment knowledge/experience
Be able to pass a background check & drug test
Have a valid driver’s license
Qualifications that are WANTED in a candidate:
Knowledge of CDK software
Information on Navistar/International/Cummins policies and operations
