POSITION SUMMARY The Account Manager is responsible for generating qualified leads and sales as a result of a direct external or internal sales effort.
Responsibilities include positioning the company as a preferred provider and maintaining professional relationships in the assigned accounts, developing and implementing sales strategies, and achieving sales targets.
II.
POSITION EXPECTATIONS Builds local relationships and attract new clients.
Cold calling and prospecting.
Manage relationships with new and existing clients with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Attend trade shows and other industry and networking events to accumulate leads and attract new clients.
Proven record of consistent success in exceeding sales goals through prospecting and meeting with potential clients.
Proven record of strong teamwork and personal accountability.
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, procedures, and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Reliable transportation is required to travel to and from customer locations.
Education, Certifications and /or Licenses: 4-year college degree or equivalent is required.
Experience: 3+ years of previous outside sales, account management, and relationship-building experience, business to business sales is a plus.
Experience in office supply products is strongly preferred, but not required.
Knowledge/Skills: Strong problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail, ownership and responsiveness.
Tenacity to complete tasks within a timely manner.
Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other computer programs.
Excellent presentation, listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
Able work independently and/or collaboratively within a team – willing to roll up your sleeves and help the team get work done.
Manage and organize time to meet objectives and deadlines.
