The Norfolk Tides are looking for an energetic, passionate, and confident Director of Ticket Sales who will not only lead our ticket sales staff but will also directly contribute to the sales effort of our company.
The Director of Ticket Sales role requires an individual who is a leader, self-starter and can work under pressure in a dynamic work environment.
This individual will be responsible for leading and managing all ticket sales efforts for the Norfolk Tides, including Groups, Military and Season Ticket Sales.
A Day in The Life:
The Director of Ticket Sales will use effective sales strategies to generate new business for The Norfolk Tides Baseball Club.
These strategies will include maintaining multiple touchpoints a day via phone call, email, LinkedIn, etc.
to set meetings that lead to an increase in Group Sales and Season Ticket Sales.
Along with new sales, this position will also place an emphasis on servicing current clients by maintaining regular communication with all ticket holders.
Additionally, you will build and sustain relationships with local military leaders, MWR representatives, etc.
serving as the Tides main military point of contact.
Each day will consist of reaching personal sales targets as well as guiding the sales team to achieve their goals and objectives through proper motivation and training.
What You Will Do:
Achieve personal sales goals primarily generated through new business.
Serve as the leader amongst the sales team providing training, motivation, and creative strategies to increase ticket sales.
Lead group sales staff in weekly meetings to track the progress of sales goals and efforts as well as discussing new methods of generating sales.
Provide guidance and direction to all individual sales representatives following the pillars of Sales, Service, and Attention to Detail.
Build and sustain relationships with local military leaders, MWR representatives.
Complete Weekly Sales Reports and Game Day Sales reports in a timely manner.
Generate ideas and action plans to increase Group revenue and Season Ticket revenue during the season.
Maintain regular communication with Group Hospitality Ticket Holders.

What You Will Need:
Bachelor's Degree
Strong communication and listening skills
An energetic and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to take initiative
Five plus years of sales experience, specifically Group and Group Hospitality.
Experience leading, training, and managing a sales staff
Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule (evenings and weekends)
