1974 Cal 2-29 - $6,500 (Norfolk)

1974 Cal 2-29 “Just Fine” Clean, responsive and easy to sail and maintain.
Great day sailer or weekend racer for the Chesapeake-much faster and stiffer than standard boats of this age/length.
Selling due to moving.
Inboard removed by a previous owner-powered with transom mounted high torque Yamaha 9.

Cabin rebuilt with solid core foam and bulkheads replaced/reinforced.
Wheel steering, Extra sails, spinnaker pole and all up to date USCG required safety equipment included to get on the water immediately.
Vessel is USCG documented (does not require a VA registration); currently in a slip that can be transferred on Fisherman’s Cove in East Beach just off Little Creek and Chesbay.
Outboard cover looks rough due to sun/UV exposure, but engine runs well.
2022: Carb cleaned and rebuilt with Yamaha parts, lower unit oil replaced with yamalube and new Yamaha factory prop installed.
Currently use a portable 5 gal gas can (new priming bulb) with quick disconnect for convenience and to keep the fuel bowl dry between uses; onboard fuel tank below deck could be re-used if desired.
Inboard steering system rebuilt in 2021 by previous owner-cable/chain assembly below pedestal was replaced with new components.
Thru-hulls still in place, however water lines disconnected for original sinks and marine head.
Seacocks accessible and wood plugs onboard.
Original upholstery in fair to good shape-pictures show tape patch on cushion in main sitting area.
No tears in Aft berths and forward v-berth cushions.
Dry boat, even when sitting in rainy/windy weather.
Bilge pump + spare included.
