OVERVIEW
The Pharmacy Fill | Dosis Technician picks, labels, scans, and otherwise prepares the finished prescription for final verification by a pharmacist.
Schedule: Mon- Fri, rotating shift, 10a-6:30p and 12p-8:30p, and every other weekend
RESPONSIBILITIES
Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (pre-pack racks)
Accuracy check of final preparation prior to presenting to the pharmacist
Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently and in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist
Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure
Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low-volume times
Package materials and products manually
Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
Maintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenished all stock supplies needed each shift
Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly
Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected
Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent required
Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice
Previous pharmacy experience required (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred)
Knowledge of brand name/generic medications
Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Able to work at a moderate speed
Able to work during inclement weather
Reliable
Good organization/Attention to detail
Analytical/Problem solver
Able to physically perform light lifting
Must be able to work various shifts and days
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently
May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY
We provide qualifying full-time employees with 23 PTO (Paid Time Off) days annually.
PTO is used for holidays, vacation, sick leave, and personal leave.
Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
