Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team.
As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and support to our healthcare team.
This position requires knowledge and experience in ICU, hospice care, patient service, vital signs, medication administration, and other essential nursing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist nurses and healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care
- Perform basic medical tasks such as taking vital signs, phlebotomizing, and administering medications
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers, including lifting and positioning patients
- Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Monitor and document patient's condition and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Assist with the setup of medical equipment (DME) and ensure its proper functioning
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient care
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Previous experience in ICU or hospice care is preferred
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to lift heavy objects and assist with patient transfers
