SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Logistics Analyst to provide US Navy support as part of the Material Management Team by providing professional and proactive assistance to include overseeing material handling, warehouse, storage, transportation, procurement, procedures and policies, accounting and various other logistics support of complex engineering systems and equipment.
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Coordinate and perform logistics activities related to the physical delivery of enterprise-wide logistics support that includes, but is not limited to supply, maintenance, and facilities management.
Develop an understanding of the customer’s logistics requirements.
Establish location and quantity control.
Inventory/receipt of government property utilizing Bill of Materials (BOMs) which include providing barcodes and internal database entry, full inventory and tracking of systems, and internal equipment upon receipt.
Develop, maintain, and distribute tracking sheets detailing locations of Government Furnished Property (GFP).
Perform physical property inventory audits and update database records.
Establish and maintain hard copies and electronic property record files and production status database records.
Utilize the federal stock system research programs to establish manufacturer, part number, national stock number, etc.
Perform in depth analysis of database records.
Coordinate and perform material management activities related to receipt, storage, packaging, and disposition.
· Prepare DD-1149 documents per internal processes for shipment and transfer of Government Furnished Property (GFP) and DD-1348 documents for Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO).
· Assist with acquiring quotes for procuring Contractor Acquired Property (CAP) and shipping Government Furnished Property (GFP).
· Develop purchase requests in accordance with contractual and internal requirements for material and equipment.
· Provide communication between the project and internal and external customers.
· Working knowledge of Depot Level Repairables (DLRs).
· Support and mentor junior personnel through experience and performance excellence.
· Provide Material Data System (MDS) ticketing support to various programs and projects.
· Train logistics personnel on the Material Data System (MDS) functions and policies and procedures.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience: · High School diploma or GED.
· Formal technical training from Technical School · OR Class A/B military school in electronics or similar technical field is preferred.
· Six (6)+ years of experience in: o Logistical tracking o Reporting o Record keeping o Warehousing o Performing inventory o Staging o Packing o Storage and shipping o Material transfer o Issuance o Disposition of government electronic equipment and related material Two (2)+ years of warehouse experience, to include: Performing inventory Staging Packing Storage and shipping of electronic equipment and related material Operating motor vehicles and material handling equipment Utilizing a computer-based inventory and bar coding system for entry Identification and tracking of material · Repair Parts Petty Officer (RPPO) or Work Center Supervisor (WCS) experience.
· Ability to operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts.
