The Logistics System Analyst provides support services in the functional area of the Fleet Logistics System, which encompasses maintenance management within the Fleet Logistics System (FLS) program, planned and emergency repair and alteration of Coast Guard cutters, boats and associated equipment applicable to the 210’ Medium Endurance Cutter (WMEC) ; 270’ Medium Endurance Cutter (WMEC); 295’ Training Barque (WIX); and Future Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC).
Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Logistics System Analyst : $60,000 to $80,000 Pay commensurate with experience.

Logistics System Analyst Responsibilities Include: Process Work Requests.
Be able to recognize when a work request is not associated to a Maintenance Item and work with staff to associate Current Ships Maintenance Project (CSMP) Work Request (also known as NCWRs) to Maintenance Items.
Create/update/complete Maintenance Items (MIs).
A MI may be created from either the Work Request or Maintenance Standard modules.
MIs represent maintenance requests originated from a Current Ships Maintenance Plan (CSMP/NCWR), Discrepancy (DISCREP), or Maintenance Standard (MS), which primarily consist of Class Maintenance Plan (CMP) items and Engineering Changes (EC).
Load Maintenance Items (MIs) to projects and manage maintenance item to Project associations as Maintenance Standards change.
Update and complete all quarterly, semi- annual, annual, and conditional MIs for Depot Level maintenance items.
Update Maintenance Standards (MS): A maintenance standard is the defined maintenance task that forms the basis for Maintenance Item costs as well as inventory needs that are associated w/ the maintenance.
Periodically cost data, inventory requirements and maintenance intervals need to be adjusted/corrected.
Create/Manage Projects.
The purpose of the Project module is to create, maintain and view information about projects, associated Maintenance Items (MI), Availability Planning Team members and actions, establish project start/end dates and associated milestones to ensure acquisition timelines are maintained/met.
Project records are used to track the costs and tasks of availabilities, DISCREPs, recurring/conditional maintenance, special projects.
Maintain the Naval Engineering Project List (NEPL).
The NEPL is used to track repairs needed for a specified cutter or boat.
The NEPL is made up of Maintenance Items (MI) with an approved status in FLS.
A NEPL for all responsible platforms in the PL shall be reviewed and updated semi-annually.
Run, analyze, and update costs for the Affordable Readiness Budget Detail (ARBD) cost report and prepare the MECPL annual and bi-annual budgets for submission.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned Logistics System Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: High School Diploma.
Minimum two (2) years of experience.
Be familiar with Coast Guard standards, policies, and procedures.
Be able to analyze data and provide concise, well-organized analysis results with recommendation for corrective action.
Have a high-level working knowledge of Coast Guard Fleet Logistics system (FLS) and COGNOS reports.
Can run discrepancy reports from ALMIS and maintenance completion reports from Contract Workbook.
Have a knowledge and understanding of the Maintenance Requirements List, Maintenance Material Requirements list, Availability Supply Reports, Naval Engineering Project Listing (NEPL) and maintenance schedule for all levels of maintenance.
Experience in Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Paint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office 365 Suite, Microsoft Teams.
Requires a favorably adjudicated Tier 1 investigation (equivalent or higher) or a Tier 1 background investigation (BI) (equivalent or higher) package that has been successfully scheduled with the investigative service provider (ISP) and an FBI fingerprint check with favorable results.
Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
