Provide technical review and composing of contract language for future construction projects and activities.
Ensure any proposed contract language provided to the acquisition group will capture applicable environmental regulations and adherence to existing permits and environmental commitments.
Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Environmental Scientist II : $60K+ Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided.

Environmental Scientist II Responsibilities Include: Composes contract scope and approach for future construction activities.
Technical writing and knowledge of environmental compliance and permitting as it pertains to new construction.
Understanding of environmental regulatory framework as it relates to the mission needs.
Assist Program Managers as directed.
This may include environmental compliance, preparing technical reports for acquisition support, and permitting compliance requirements.
Provide support to the Engineering Director or his/her designee daily.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned Environmental Scientist II Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in an engineering, science or environmentally related technical field consistent with the required duties of the position.
Minimum of 4 years of directly applicable experience.
Knowledge and/or experience in the following preferred: ASTM E1527-05, NEPA regulatory framework, 40 CFR Part 112, EPA EPCRA reporting, and USACE EM 385-1-1.
General requirements include good interpersonal skills, experience in speaking to people at different levels, and understanding and conveying technical concepts professionally.
Ability to create and elaborate on project technical reports.
Ability to effectively manage time and project resources.
Must have excellent customer service and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to effectively communicate both orally in writing (to include technical documentation).
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, work independently and in a team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, other applicable database, and office automation products, to include Adobe Pro.
