Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Medical Coding Specialist
Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift
Position Location: This is an onsite position located in Norfolk, VA
Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).
Position Summary: Comprehensive understanding of the entire billing cycle, medical terminology, coding, charge entry, insurance adjudication, contractual agreements, payment posting, statements and collections.
Required: 3 years of multi-specialty coding experience Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) - Certification - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) Certified Professional Coder (CPC) - Certification - American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) Preferred: Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), International Classification of Diseases version 10 (ICD-10), Heath Care Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) and Modifier Coding Diversity and Inclusion at Sentara Our vision is that everyone brings the strengths that come with diversity to work with them every day.
