APP for Employee Occupational Health (Hybrid)

Sentara Medical Group is seeking an NP/PA for Employee Occupational Health.
The APP is expected to participate in quality assurance and improvement activities, engage in member of the team activities, and use resources (human and material) appropriately.
All work will be done in collaboration with the Employee Occupational Health Medical Director.
Position Highlights: Location: near one of Sentara’s 12 Acute Care Hospitals in VA/NC Schedule: Hybrid; 3-4 days remote and 1-2 days on site weekly Occasional after hours call Comprehensive Benefits and Retirement Packages 100% Malpractice and Tail Coverage Duties Include (but are not limited to): Fit for Duty and Return to Work Clearances Evaluation and follow up of labs and immunizations Patient Visits/consults Medical Exemption Requests Work Accommodation Requests Exposure Management Collaboration with leadership for process development, policies, and procedures The APP maintains continuing education credits of at least 30 hours per year and maintains prescriptive authority and certification, acquires special clinical competencies as required by the group, participates in quality assurance activities (clinical practice council) and assists with risk management functions.
