Position is with the RBF Medical Transportation Services arm of RB Family Enterprises
Position Description:
To provide safe and reliable non-emergency medical transportation of ambulatory clients or clients requiring wheelchair or stretcher transport.
Drivers will prioritize transportation based on dispatched requirements and assigned schedules in a professional, timely manner, while ensuring safety and privacy of the clients assigned for transport.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Specifics:
Provide scheduled transport of clients in a safe, timely and reliable manner, while abiding by company policies and procedures.
Assist clients as they get into and out of the vehicle
Ensure clients are properly secured before putting any vehicle or equipment in motion, receiving clients into or off-loading from vehicles.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 or other federal, state, local, or company regulations.
Provide CPR/First Aid as necessary
Notify 911 immediately in case of any medical emergencies that arise while transporting clients.
Report back to the supervisor when clients have been dropped off at their destination
Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections to evaluate the proper functionality of all vehicle systems and equipment needed to perform scheduled transports.
Immediately report any incidents, equipment malfunctions, accidents, delays, or other hazards dispatch.
Complete company accident/injury reports in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness of the equipment and vehicle, ensuring the vehicle is stocked and sanitized prior to shift and before each trip.
Use proper PPE when sanitizing or cleaning spills.
Ensure vehicle is fueled to support patient transport.
Drivers shall not use mobile telephones (including texting) or headphones while the vehicle is in motion or during patient transport
All drivers and attendants shall wear or have easily readable proper identification.
Confidentiality: This position will have knowledge of confidential personal information regarding others.
The employee will be required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement and adhere to applicable standards included establishing professional boundaries with clients and co-workers.

Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age and have had a valid drivers license for at least 3 years
HS Diploma or GED, with fluency to read and write in the English language
All Drivers shall have a valid drivers in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and work cooperatively in a team environment
Must pass a background investigation including relevant criminal history
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen test and random drug tests during course of employment
Physical Abilities:
Good uncorrected or corrected eyesight with the ability to detect colors for traffic signals
Must be able to hear with or without hearing aid or device.
Must be able to maintain manual coordination and dexterity to support patients prior, during, and after transport.
Ability to withstand various weather conditions while transporting patients
Ability to lift, push, pull over 70 pounds and position stretcher and wheelchair patients
Position requires sitting, standing, bending, walking, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and pushing a wheelchair or stretcher
