Furgent Care is a new veterinary urgent care practice providing evening and weekend services opening May 2024 in Virginia Beach.
Our goal, as a privately owned hospital, is to try and address the systemic problems in veterinary medicine that have led to the staffing shortages that are being seen across the country.

*Job Description*:
We are currently seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Veterinary Receptionist.
The Veterinary Receptionist plays a vital role in our clinic as the first point of contact for our clients and their pets.
* Greet clients and their pets warmly and assist them with checking in/out.
* Answer phone calls, walk-in clients and handle inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
* Collect and record patient information accurately into our database.
* Process payments, manage invoices, and handle financial transactions with accuracy.
* Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed, including emailing, faxing, and maintaining records.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, treatment rooms and lobby.
*Requirements*:
* Previous experience in customer service or administration, preferably in a veterinary setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
* Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Proficiency in basic computer skills and experience with veterinary management software is a plus.
* Genuine love and compassion for animals and their owners.
* An interest in learning about veterinary medical conditions and assisting with triage of clients over the phone
