Role Overview: As a Contract Administrator at Amentum, you will serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for contracts under your administration, handling all pre-award and post-award contractual matters.
Your responsibilities will involve close collaboration with internal departments, including Program Management, Finance, Security, Procurement, Business Development, and Pricing.
Your goal will be to ensure successful contract execution while maintaining compliance with company policy and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
Essential Responsibilities: Research, analyze, coordinate, develop, and maintain documentation.
Execute contract awards, modifications, de-obligations, closeouts, and other contract administrative tasks for assigned programs or divisions.
Draft, review, negotiate, and execute non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and teaming agreements (TAs).
Ensure procurement practices, transactions, and documentation align with company policies, contract requirements, and government regulations.
Interface and coordinate with Government/Prime Contractors, intercompany teams, and internal departments.
Assist in coordinating, developing, and producing proposals.
Maintain a comprehensive filing system and handle correspondence related to contract matters.
Conduct basic contract negotiations, including direct interaction with contracting officers.
Perform risk assessments through RFP analysis.
Review contract documents and correspondence related to government solicitations.
Coordinate the review and approval of contract modifications and change proposals.
Monitor the current status of assigned contracts.
Minimum Requirements: Must be a local Virginia resident, available for on-site meetings as needed.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
Eight (8) years of relevant defense industry contract administrator experience with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related major, supporting a large company.
(OR five (5) years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in Business Administration or related major.
) Experience with one or more of the following contract types: Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), or Time and Material (T&M).
Experience Contracts Administrator (not subcontract) supporting the defense industry.
Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) and related federal and state legislation and regulations.
Strong written and oral communication skills, along with proficiency in word-processing, database, spreadsheet programs, and integrated software applications.
