Amentum is seeking a Entry Systems Engineer at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Activity (NSWCDD DNA) Virginia to assist with systems and technical engineering services.
We will provide systems and technical engineering services across Total Ship Training Capabilities (TSTC) by implementing disciplined and rigorous System Engineering processes across all mission areas of Integrated Training Systems (ITS) Family of Systems (FOS).
Using your prowess and experience, help our customer define, document, and follow an open systems approach using modular design, standards-based interfaces, and widely supported consensus-based standards in hardware, software, subsystems, and elements that comprise the specific system.
Entry Systems Engineer Responsibilities Include:
Planning and designing systems infrastructure including the implementation and design of hardware.
Analyzes, develops, modifies, tests and maintains the system.
Verifies and validates systems meets internal and external requirements.
Diagnoses problems and provide recommendations for improvement on existing and new systems.
Being a specialist on complex technical and business matters.
Work is highly independent.
Supporting the systems integration engineering management planning efforts and support of key programmatic and process documents such as Systems Roadmaps and Interoperability Assessments.
Providing programmatic technical briefings and point papers that may be presented.
Collaborating with stakeholders and Navy, military and agency program participants to discuss engineering level issues and topics.
Reviewing concepts, plans, demonstrations, and other documents as required, providing analysis and recommendations.
Supporting capability phasing and conduct requirements analysis as required.
Participating in technical service meetings and other technical exchanges.
Support for defining and evolving combat system requirements and capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline.
At least four (4) years full-time professional experience working as a systems engineer in at least one major shipboard, non-propulsion electronic subsystem.
At least two (2) years must have been full-time experience at the system level.
Education may be substituted by this same experience.
Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance.
Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
