Job Description
Assist with aspects of budget development, management, analysis and reporting.
Performs reconciliations of budgetary position control, attrition calculations and analysis and budget reconciliations.
Assists with input, review and approval of proposed budget adjustments.
Produce ad-hoc budgetary and financial reports and analysis.
Type of Recruitment Knowledge, skills and abilities Considerable knowledge of financial policies, practices, and procedures.
Considerable knowledge of effective customer service and problem resolution techniques.
Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Considerable skills in Microsoft suite, specifically word, database, and spreadsheet programs.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with various levels of management, members of the campus community, and other state agencies.
Demonstrated ability to apply and adapt accounting principles and methods to a variety of agency fiscal needs.
Demonstrated ability to assemble and analyze large data sets in order to prepare clear and concise financial reports and recommendations for various levels of management.
