*SUMMARY*: WR has an opportunity for a Lead Software Engineer to oversee the entire software engineering lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and coordinates tasks among team members.
*Position responsibilities* will include, but are not limited to the following:
* Independently design software systems, lead testing and programming, and consult with clients for program needs.
* Analyze data requirements, assess feasibility, and develop plans for program development.
* Research and evaluate software and hardware, training users, and coordinating system installations.
* Evaluate junior staff performance and contribute to their training and development.
*Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:*
* Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
* Six (6)+ years of experience in computer science or engineering field, to include: systems/equipment support, test and evaluation support of C4ISR requirements.
* Three (3)+ years of technical experience in support of developing software applications using C, C++, C#, Java, assembly, or other compiled or real-time programming language.
* Knowledge of coding languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
* Familiarity with software development strategies such as Agile, software development collaboration tools such as Eclipse, Jira, and Git, and software testing strategies, Unit testing, and Test Driven Development (TDD).
