``` Duties: - Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals - Perform animal restraint and handling during examinations and procedures - Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians - Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing - Perform diagnostic tests such as bloodwork and urinalysis - Assist with radiography and other imaging procedures - Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures - Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of patients - Maintain accurate medical records and documentation - Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in veterinary technology preferred - Certification as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) is a plus - Previous experience working as a veterinary technician is highly desired - Strong knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and behavior - Proficient in animal restraint techniques and handling of various species (dogs, cats, exotics) - Familiarity with aseptic technique and sterile procedures in a laboratory setting - Experience with animal catheterization and venipuncture techniques - Knowledge of equine care is a plus - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Benefits: - Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications - Health insurance coverage including medical, dental, and vision plans - Retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions - Paid time off for vacation, sick leave, and holidays - Continuing education opportunities to enhance professional development We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team.
