Quality Assurance Manager:
Continental Tide Defense Systems, Inc.
is actively seeking a motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented individual for our Quality Assurance Manager opening.
The successful candidate will join our Quality Assurance and Management Team currently supporting initiatives for Naval Sea Systems Command, U.
S.
Coast Guard, Military Sealift Command, and other DoD organizations.
Target experience (5-10 years) includes: internal and external quality management system audits, maintenance, and compliance with ISO 9001:2015, assessing training on company policies and procedures and generating and presenting reports and audit findings.
The QA Manager will be the lead representative for the Continental Tide Quality Management System and will oversee the development, maintenance and document control for policies, procedures, work instructions and company internal standards and practices.
The QA Manager will perform periodic quality assurance audits of QA Inspectors/NDT, internal maintenance audits, and subcontractor audits for compliance to contract work specifications.
Quality Management System (QMS): Develop, implement, and manage a robust Quality Management System to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the production or service delivery processes.
Compliance Assurance: Ensure that all products and services adhere to industry standards, legal regulations, and internal policies.
Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with quality standards.
Coordinate external audits and inspections, ensuring timely and successful outcomes.
Documentation Control: Manage the control and distribution of quality documentation, including policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Training and Development: Provide training to employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness.
Customer Feedback: Oversee the analysis of customer feedback and implement corrective actions to address any identified quality issues.
Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials or services.
Metrics and Reporting: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, preparing regular reports for senior management.
Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into the root causes of quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions to mitigate future occurrences.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and customer service, to ensure a comprehensive approach to quality assurance.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about changes in industry regulations and standards, ensuring that the organization remains in compliance.
Experience and Skills: Candidates must possess a high school diploma, GED or industrial school certificate, associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred Ensure that company third party accreditations are obtained and maintained Ensure all company policies, procedures, and work instructions are documented in a clear, simple and concise manner Control and maintain the company audit and risk assessment schedule Conduct safety, quality and environmental system compliance audits Ability to perform on-going Quality Management System maintenance and effectiveness of operation Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization Act as liaison with external bodies and customers on matters relating to the organization’s quality management system Assist in training all company personnel in the documented company policies and procedures Ensure personnel have received appropriate training and are assessed as competent to perform tasks Report to Senior Management on the QMS performance and continual improvement opportunities Maintain up to date compliance resources, including standards Knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to secure and maintain a security clearance Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
