*Join Our Team as a Residential House Manager!*
*Mission of the Position:*
Are you ready to take on a leadership role that directly impacts the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities? As a Residential Home Manager, you'll oversee the management of two residential group homes, ensuring the needs and preferences of the individuals served are the primary focus of our services.
Your leadership will guide a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in providing exceptional care and support, while maintaining regulatory compliance and fostering a person-centered environment.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Supervise DSP staff to ensure individuals receive comprehensive support in daily living skills, personal hygiene, and community interactions.
* Conduct daily audits to ensure compliance with agency policies and regulatory guidelines.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for daily communications with families, guardians, and natural support teams.
* Assist in training and educating group home staff, including onboarding of new team members.
* Coordinate and attend meetings and health care appointments for individuals served.
* Manage household expenditures and complete associated documentation.
* Maintain adequate staffing schedules and address staffing needs as necessary.
* Ensure overall security and safety of individuals served and staff, including maintaining the physical residence and conducting emergency drills.
* Document and address work assignments for staff, including transportation and activity assignments.
*Qualifications:*
* Associate degree in Human Services or a related field and five years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including two years of supervisory experience.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be accepted.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Proficiency in computer operations.
* Ability to analyze situations, develop creative solutions, and remain calm in crisis situations.
* Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving history, and proof of auto insurance.
* Ability to pass mandatory and random drug screens and criminal background checks.
*Other Skills and Abilities:*
* Effective time management skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and accept constructive feedback.
* Leadership skills and the ability to serve as a role model for professional behavior and conflict resolution.
*Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:*
* Maintenance of CPR/First Aid, Medication Assistance Certifications, and all agency-required trainings.
*Physical Demands:*
* Proficiency in written and spoken English.
* Ability to lift or position non-ambulatory individuals receiving services.
* Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and varying hours, including being on-call for staff 24/7.
*Work Environment:*
* Exposure to viruses, diseases, and infections in the working environment.
* Flexibility to work at any CAI residential group home and provide own transportation.
* May experience traumatic situations, including physically aggressive behaviors and verbal threats.
