*Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: *Completion of Master’s degree in the human services field and current status as a resident in Counseling or Social Work and/or active license provided by the Department of Health Professions is required.
Compliance with the appropriate regulatory board to maintain license eligible status is required.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for community mental health services is preferred.
Must have working knowledge of the areas of need for adults with serious mental illness and youth with mental health diagnoses; must have appropriate clinical skills to train supervisees in the IIH and MHSB programs; must be able to work from a person-centered framework when providing training services; must have clinical interviewing skills; must have understanding or ability to train in appropriate mental health skill-building and intensive in-home interventions; must be able to identify clinical risk factors for suicide, violence and other risky behaviors.
A valid Virginia Drivers License is also required for employment.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
*Duties will include:*
- will supervise a team of QMHP or Peer Recovery Specialist staff (up to 15 staff total) for Intensive In-Home, Mental Health Skill-Building or Peer Recovery Services
- provide clinical supervision weekly or monthly depending on the program
- will review clinical documentation to include progress notes, quarterly reports, authorization requests, etc.
- will engage staff in performance improvement targets and evaluate performance
- will attend staff meetings and/or outreach meetings 1-2 times per month
- will collaborate with management team on quality improvement efforts
- will collaborate as point of contact for managed care organizations (health insurance companies) for clinical consults and recommendations
- will conduct clinical assessments (3 per week)
-Provide clinical oversight for cases and counselors being supervised
-Coordinate with Operations Director, Compliance Consultant and Clinical Director to oversee efficient daily operations
-Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) and the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS)
-Responsible for holding counselors accountable for any and all paperwork ensuring that it's turned in on time and its clinical content meets standards
Issue disciplinary action as needed and complete employee performance evaluations for assigned staff
-Completes annual Individualized Service Plans
-Provides documentation and clinical training to agency
-Submits written intake assessments within 48 hrs of seeing client to determine eligibility for services and provides input to admission team regarding treatment
-Maintain 24 hour availability to respond to crisis situations for participants in all
