Duties
You will provide prompt guidance that is technically correct on issues and concerns regarding safety program management, safety policies and Navy-wide occupational health and safety regulatory matters to stakeholders.
You will provide assessment of occupational health and industrial safety programs of Navy Echelon II commands.
You will maintain direct liaison with various naval enterprises and nationally accredited Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) entities engaged in safety and occupational health for exchange of information and material.
You will provide representation at meetings to coordinate efforts with DoD and Federal agencies.
You will conduct subject matter expert (SME) analysis of safety data including but not limited to mishaps, hazards/near misses, investigations, inspection results, workers compensation data, and training.
You will identify and communicate potential SOH issues of a systemic, high-level, or otherwise significant nature, in the capacity of a safety assurance subject matter expert.
You will manage, develop, and coordinate safety awareness promotional and educational program materials, i.

, safety survey checklists, lessons learned, posters, booklets, pamphlets etc.
You will provide guidance, interpretations, and assistance to commands in order to improve their overall safety performance and to reduce the occurrence of injuries and mishaps.

4) Coordinating and performing safety surveys, assist visits, conducting presentations, on-site visits at activities to assess various aspects of safety and occupational health programs to provide guidance, interpretation, and assistance to corporations, government agencies, and/or military commands to improve their overall safety performance and to reduce the incidence of injuries and mishaps.
5) Analyzing and assisting other analysts, research personnel, and scientists with content analysis, data coding, and quantitative and qualitative analysis by providing risk management insights, information, and expertise.

If you have more than one DD-214 for multiple periods of active duty service, submit a copy for each period of service.
If you were issued a DD-215 to amend aforementioned information on the DD-214 you must submit that too.

Are you an active duty service member? Active Duty Service Members are required to submit a statement of service printed on command letterhead and signed by the command.
The statement of service must provide the branch of service, rate/rank, all dates of service, the expected date of discharge and anticipated character of service (Honorable, General, etc.
).
Documents submitted as part of the application package, to include supplemental documents, may be shared beyond the Human Resources Office.
Some supplemental documents contain personal information such as SSN and DOB and some documents such as military orders and marriage certificates may contain personal information for someone other than you.
You may sanitize these documents to remove said personal information before you submit your application.
You must provide an un-sanitized version of the documents if you are selected.
