Job Description About the Role You will provide direct oversight to the Accounts Payable (AP) and Travel and Entertainment (T&E) Shared Services team and our offshore processing team in India.
The Sr.
Manager delivers ideas to improve all processes within AP and T&E workstreams and manages the daily operations while balancing assignments for the team.
You will serve as a leader in ensuring compliance with internal controls and IRS regulations and will also lead the AP workstream for the Workday Financials system implementation.
You will report to the Associate Director of Disbursements.
You will operate on a hybrid schedule which includes regular attendance in the Norfolk, VA office 3 days per week with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining 2 days per week.
Responsibilities: Provide leadership to staff ensuring all deadlines are met and customer issues, concerns, and questions are resolved accurately.
Manage remote processing team in India providing clear direction and feedback to ensure Service Level Agreements are met Develop and maintain an internal control environment over areas of responsibility; ensure controls are being executed on by staff Provide guidance to staff on the resolution of complex problems and system issues Recommend, develop, and implement new processes to continually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department Review and enforce corporate policies and procedures Monitor employee performance, provide constructive feedback to staff, and coach and develop employees Establish and maintain exceptional business relationships while working collaboratively across various teams Manage the implementation of Workday Financials Manage other special projects as assigned Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting/Finance/Management 7+ years relevant work experience Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a management role or team lead/project leadership role Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in a Financial ERP system, PeopleSoft or Workday Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, specifically Word and Excel Possess advanced problem solving, decision making and analytical skills Strong organization skills and attention to detail Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels, particularly Senior Management Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to lead and motivate a team in an environment undergoing change The annual base pay range for this role is $130,000.
00 -$140,000.
