Description
Burns & McDonnell is looking for an energetic person with a high level of initiative to market and manage projects, focusing on federal facility and infrastructure projects for the Department of Defense (DOD).
Our Project Managers are seller-doers who develop and maintain client relationships and market sectors, with responsibility for coordinating and leading project teams to deliver quality projects that make our clients successful.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in DoD facility project designs and perform heavier as a Design Project Manager and not a Program Manager.
Initial responsibilities will involve managing multi-discipline design projects, including developing cost and technical proposals, coordinating design efforts, managing schedules and budgets, and managing client expectations and satisfaction.
This Project Manager will be responsible for the successful completion of larger and smaller value projects as part of an annual portfolio of projects.
Additionally, this Project Manager will:
Work to grow relationships and market share in their areas of expertise.
Develop and maintain client and partner relationships by building trust and providing high service levels.
Plan, coordinate, communicate, and facilitate activities of several disciplines on multiple projects from concept through completion.
Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and partners.
Manage project delivery, including scoping, budgeting, maintaining schedules, meeting budget objectives, and communicating and meeting deadlines.
Promote safe work environments.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum 7 years of related experience in DOD to included delivering facilities and infrastructure project designs.
Customer-focused with good relationship-building and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to make thoughtful, informative, and persuasive presentations to clients.
Ability to represent Burns & McDonnell in a professional, competent manner.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Professional registration (PE or AIA)
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance.
