Main Purpose of the Role:
The HR Director is the head of the US HR and Admin teams, whose primary responsibility is developing and executing deliverables of the US Human Resources department, including: enhancing employee experience, maximizing employee engagement, interviewing and selecting potential new talent, leading training and other employee development duties, enforcing company policies and practices, handling employee relations issues, and partnering with business leaders to help define and execute on HR deliverables.
The HR Director will provide a vision and strategy for the US HR and Admin functions, and execute on related deliverables.
The role is mix of strategic and tactical work.
There will, however, be opportunities to work on project-based initiatives that are broader in scope and scale, potentially even global in nature.

Main Tasks:
Facilitates guidance to US management team on HR matters.
Communicates and gains buy-in for vision and strategy.
Drives business growth through HR deliverables.
Champions organizational changes at all levels and builds change resiliency in organization.
Represents business in legal and union matters.
Interprets and ensures compliance of company policies.
Develops annual HR plan for the country.
Partner with VP HR on issues around recruitment, L&D, payroll, HRIS, and Total Rewards.
Reporting for various HR KPIs and metrics such as employee experience, attrition, and exit interview data compilation, to help improve existing processes and support decision making.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve, automate and streamline processes.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree.
10+ years Human Resources Management experience.
Successful history of partnering with senior leadership on assigned HR deliverables.
Track record of being able to execute on assigned goals.
Experience with Office suite software, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
Experience with managing projects and deadlines.
Experience in Union labor and negotiations, ILW or ILA experience is a plus.
