Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team.
As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a nurturing and educational environment for children.
Your role will involve planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, and fostering their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the individual needs of each child
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes curiosity, exploration, and creativity
- Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers or teacher aides
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor children's progress and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with parents/guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and observations
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior in the classroom
- Utilize various teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in planning and organizing educational activities
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies for children with special needs
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and behavioral therapy approaches
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Certification in early childhood education or related field is preferred
