*What we’re looking for:*
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
* Proven experience in a purchasing role, preferably in the wholesale industry.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Proficient in using purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on market trends.
* Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
* Familiarity with applicable laws and regulations related to purchasing and procurement.
* Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
*As a Purchasing Manager, you’ll:*
* Adhere to the routine ordering schedule and efficiently meet fulfillment deadlines.
* Ensure core equipment and product inventory levels remain optimal.
* Stay informed on supplier shipping status updates, and adjust the ordering schedule as needed.
* Strategically allocate inventory where it is needed and ensure the timely transfer of products between locations.
* Conduct market research on industry trends to ensure smart purchasing decisions.
* Track and evaluate product performance in terms of cost, quality, and customer feedback.
* Collaborate with other departments to accurately forecast demand and plan inventory replenishment.
* Create purchase orders, track shipments, and resolve any shipping issues that may arise.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and sales analysis.
