Overview:
This is a fully remote position within the Continental United States.
We are seeking a leader in Mechanical Engineering (MET) to work in conjunction with the Engineering Technology Program Director to oversee the Mechanical Engineering Program.
This includes instruction, curriculum, student success, and enforcement of policies and procedures.
Maintains accreditation standards of quality education that meet state and federal requirements and ECPI University guidelines.

Responsibilities:
Students
Creates and maintains an environment conducive to learning; employs instructional technology and active learning approaches to enhance the learning experience.
Participates in the academic advisement and counseling of students.
Provides opportunities for students and graduate evaluation of curriculum, teaching, and program effectiveness.
Identifies opportunities for student participation in professional organizations including student competitions.
Program
In conjunction with the Engineering Technology Program Director, Coordinates the development, implementation, evaluation and revision of program curricula, textbooks, and course content in accordance with program standards, institutional needs and changing needs of employers.
Participates in scheduled training, open houses, orientations, faculty meetings, committees, conferences, and graduation/student awards ceremonies.
Faculty
Assists in the hiring, onboarding and evaluation of faculty.
Reviews end-of-course evaluations of faculty at the end of each module.
Professional Development
Stays current in subject matter through professional development.
Commits to ongoing professional development; ensures program faculty remain current in trends, issues, and practices in the field, as well as effective teaching strategies and assessment methods.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from a regionally accredited educational institution; Ph.
D.
in mechanical engineering preferred.
ABET Accreditation experience preferred.
A Professional Engineering License (PE) is highly desirable.
1 + years industry experience in a mechanical and/or manufacturing engineering field required; 7+ years career industry experience preferred.
Industry experience must be within the last 5 years.
2 years teaching or presentation experience a plus.
Skills/Abilities:
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Inventor, or other 3D design software
Experience with Machine Tool Technology, CNC G-Code programming, Python and CAD/CAM software is a plus.
Mechatronics candidates should have a strong background in control systems, instrumentation and measurements, and mechanical systems.
Appropriate technical certification or licensure (if required)
