_*Job Summary*_
_Brick Lane has an exciting job opportunity for an experienced Maintenance_ _Supervisor for our beautiful Gates of West Bay location in Norfolk, VA.
This is a full-time and non-exempt (hourly) position.
_
*Role*: The Maintenance Supervisor is highly skilled in Facilities Management and holds a strong leadership role among the maintenance team.
It is the responsibility of the Maintenance Supervisor to be a reliable and communicative professional who is responsible for the technical operations of the property to include but not limited to: Property and unit readiness, ensuring full completion of work orders, preventative maintenance, delegation of service tasks, etc.
The Maintenance Supervisor will educate and motivate the maintenance team, while maintaining a positive attitude.

_*Essential Duties & Responsibilities*_
* _Adhere to and lead the Maintenance team in accordance to Brick Lane standards between properties, teams, and locations.
_
* _Conduct hands-on education and training to maintenance teams_
* _Ensure that unit turns and maintenance work orders are being processed and filled according to Brick Lane expectations_
* _Assist Property Management with capital improvement project specifications, property goals, and resident service requests and deadlines.
_
* _Coordinates work flow regarding general tasks and projects to meet the production needs of regional properties_
* _Maintain and manage shop inventory_
* _Delegate and direct the flow of work orders in conjunction with the Property Manager_
* _Ensure that the maintenance staff is performing within the guidelines of Brick Lane’s Policies, Procedures, and Conduct Policy.

* _Complete work orders of various types including, but not limited to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, appliances, and make-readies.
_
* _Respond to after-hours on-call emergencies on a rotating basis with the rest of the staff.

Education*_

Experience: 4-5 years of relevant work experience in a multifamily community

Certificates*_

EPA Type II HVAC (or above) Certification

CPO Certification_

An effective communicator

Self-motivated and able to work independently.

To identify, diagnose, knowledge, and fix maintenance issues.

Experience working with gas lines
