Position: Administrative Assistant
Salary: $15.
00 per hour
Status: Part-time
Hours: Flexible schedule to fit the needs of the Development Director not to exceed 15 hours
a week for 50 weeks annually.
Location: 1465 Lakeside Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23455
Assignment
The Development Team is responsible for the planning and execution of branch fundraising initiatives in the Hampton Roads area and continued stewardship of established community relationships.
The administrative assistant reports directly to the Development Director and supports the administrative team to help them stay organized and complete tasks that allow the development team to focus on more advanced responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Generating acknowledgment letters for gifts received.
Develop and maintain a filing system including Acknowledgement documents.
Utilizing applicable development software systems
Answer and direct phone calls
Assist in the preparation and execution of events as directed by the Development Director.
Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
Assist in the Food Pantry as directed by the Executive Director or Development Director
Assist in logistical transport and on-site /storage facility work.
Ensure that timesheets are updated on ADP promptly for Development Director approval.
Incorporate the Armed Services YMCA character values of caring, respect, responsibility, and honesty into every aspect of your position.
Be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
Must be computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must hold a valid Virginia driver's license
Additional responsibilities may be required as needed.
