Duties
Serves as Contract Specialist responsible for all aspects of contracting transactions from initiation to recommendation of award to procurement of items or services.

Typical work assignments include: - Conducts routine procurement.
Analyzes the requirements, recommends revisions to the performance work statement, statement of work, statement of objectives or specifications, as necessary and decides on the type of contract, milestones and procurement plan.
- Analyzes bids/proposals for conformance to the solicitation instrument.
Performs price analysis including review of pricing data to determine reasonableness.
- Monitors contract administration on contracts until final delivery and ensures payment are completed and that the contract is closed and retired.
- Interpreting and implementing the Federal Acquisition Regulation, and applicable agency directives.
- Creating and maintaining effective communications with customers.
- Responsible for pre-award and post-award activities to include contract closeout.
