*VAD is currently seeking a Warehouse Driver at our Newport News, VA branch.
*
*Responsibilities:*
* Load delivery trucks to meet delivery schedule, ensuring product is secure and protected from damage
* Deliver orders in safe and undamaged manner in the company 26’ box truck
* Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisor
* Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) standards and regulations
* Follow and implement all company safety polices and procedures
* Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as needed, as well as receiving, verifying, staging ,and stocking incoming material
* Perform monthly cycle counts
* Process warehouse transfers, both outgoing and incoming
*Qualifications:*
* Valid drivers license with clean driving record—CDL not required
* Must be able to pass DOT physical examination
* Excellent attitude and commitment to superior customer service
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Ability to multitask with ease and to meet deadlines with great accuracy
