Job Description The future of intelligence is being built, operated, and delivered at HII.
HII-Mission Technologies (HII-MT) is currently seeking an AEGIS Systems Administrator (prefer ACNT NEC) to work out of our Norfolk, VA location.
Duties include operation and technical service support to maintain the facility, startup/shutdown, troubleshooting and cyber security responsibilities.
The selected candidate will support the Global Readiness Training Systems Support program.
An Interim Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a final Secret Clearance and current COMPTIA Security Plus certificate is a mandatory job requirement prior to job start.
Essential Job Responsibilities Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space.
Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
Performs system administration duties (e.
g.
purge log files, archive data, maintain user accounts, update passwords, scanning, and compliance reporting) on trainer equipment in accordance with the CIAT/AATT operational requirements using Government approved procedures identified as GFI.
Performs above duties as a certified Information Assurance (IA) Workforce IA Technician Level 2 position, in accordance with the contract IA clauses and capable of becoming and maintaining credentials as a member of the Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF).
Minimum Qualifications 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field OR 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience AEGIS Combat Systems experience is required (prefer ACNT NEC) Candidate must have CompTIA Security+ certification Must have combat systems tactical software experience Preferred Requirements MS Network, Red Hat Linux, and Cisco systems experience desired FC ACNT experience preferred SQQ-89 tactical software experience Physical Requirements Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the Systems Analyst discipline.
