We are looking for a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals according to menu.
An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals.
They must be able to maneuver around a small kitchen and be skilled in multi-tasking to ensure that all orders are completed in a timely manner.
Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is important.
The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our clientele.
*Responsibilities* * Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
* Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.
) * Cook food using various utensils or grillers.
* monitoring food while cooking.
* Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
* Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
* Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
* Check quality of ingredients.
* Wash dishes, pots and pans * Monitor inventory and place orders as needed.
* Prep foods for the next shift/day.
* Cleaning and wiping down surfaces through the shift.
* Taking out garbage.
* Washing hands continuously in accordance with all food safety laws * Must take and pass the Food Certification Manager course within 60 days of employment.
* communicate any/all safety issues to management.
* making sure all food is properly stored and dated.
* sweeping and mopping floor nightly.
*Skills* * Proven experience as cook * Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware.
* Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.
) * Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
* Ability to work as a team.
* Excellent communication skills.
