The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day HR operations, as well as ensuring the administrative requirements of HR are fulfilled.
This position is involved in various HR and administrative functions with a focus on employee record maintenance, payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, and employee recognition.
The Human Resources Coordinator provides support to all employees in the 10 different locations.
The Human Resources Coordinator reports to the VP of Human Resources.
JOB FUNCTIONS Include the following, but other duties may be assigned.
Organize, maintain, and update employee HRIS information as needed in UKG (HR system).
Responsible for weekly and monthly HR reports (payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, etc.
).
Supports the full lifecycle of talent acquisition and on-boarding process for all employees which includes posting and closing jobs, preliminary screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
Attend job and career fairs representing Checkered Flag in a professional manner.
Assist with new hire orientation training program and setup.
Assist with benefits administration, which includes data entry, benefit packets, benefits meetings, and auditing invoices.
Responsible for employment verifications and reference checks.
Maintain and scan employee files and documents for active and former employees.
Involved in various HR projects as needed.
Assist with company social and volunteering events.
Provide customer service and assistance to employees and vendors by answering questions and requests.
Provide support and guidance to the organization’s departments regarding HR policies, processes, and best practices.
Regular and reliable attendance.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of two (2) years of general HR-related experience is required.
Working knowledge of HR concepts, practices, and procedures including recruiting, benefits, and leave.
Demonstrated experience in maintaining human resources information system records.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Must be detail oriented and able to multitask and prioritize demands.
Self-starter, ability to resolve issues and research solutions.
Ability to work under pressure and independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated organizational and creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management.
Ability to understand and respond to customer needs (internal and external) in a timely manner.
VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE aPHR, PHR or SHRM-CP Certification a plus.
Experience with UKG or other HRIS applications.
