Sentara Healthcare is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Research Finance Specialist .
Position Status: Part Time, 20 hours per week- Day Shift Position Location: This position is position for residents of VA Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).
Position Summary: Provides administrative and financial oversight support to multidisciplinary research divisions.
Conducts contract and budget negotiations with various industry sponsors and academic centers.
Provides compliance oversight of Sentara's Research Billing Process through Medicare Coverage Analysis development.
Serves as administrator of the clinical trial management system (CTMS).
Other responsibilities include Financial Management based on GAAP Accounting of research asset/liability accounts, profit and loss reports of the Clinical Trials Cost centers, and reconciliation of the Clinical Trials Managements system.
Reports monthly to Executive Leadership, and Corporate Finance.
Must be able to read and interpret financial reports and develop budgets.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance Five (5) years of related experience in Accounting/Finance Diversity and Inclusion at Sentara Our vision is that everyone brings the strengths that come with diversity to work with them every day.
